Open for the Cornhusker State Games 2024 athlete of the year videos
Challenge
Animate an open and close for the 2024 Cornhusker State Games that celebrates the 40 year anniversary.
Design
Cornhusker State Games (CSG) needed an exciting 15-second open and close for their six athletes of the year that they create highlight videos for. The climax of the CSG opening ceremonies is the cauldron-lighting, which celebrates an Olympic tradition. During my research, I was inspired by an Olympic torch lighting where an archer shot a flaming arrow into the cauldron. The path of the spark in the beginning of the animation mimics an arrow's flight.
